Event Details
The event is planned for the weekend of Aug 24-25 and will cover trails across the state of Michigan, beginning in Oscoda and ending at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes!
We will travel in convoys, with an experienced driver at the front (“lead”) and one at the back (“chase”) of each group, so if anyone needs help there will always be someone there. All lead and chase vehicles will be equipped with VHF radios and will be in constant communication.
Note: This is a 2-day event, with off-roading on both Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th!
** Please keep in mind, this event is open to drivers of all experience levels…so some may find the pace too slow, while other may find it a bit fast. Please be patient with everyone and we will all have a great time. **

Saturday, Aug 24th:
Meet at AmericInn Oscoda hotel ~10am – Sign in, fuel up, air down tires
(guests are encouraged to arrive at the hotel Friday night, Aug 23rd, so that the group is ready to roll out on time Saturday morning)
Depart and hit trails leading from Oscoda, through Mio, Grayling, and ending at stopping location in Cadillac, MI
Stay night at hotel in Cadillac
Sunday, Aug 25th:
Depart for Day 2 of trails!
Make it to Silver Lake Sand Dunes, play in the sand for a few hours with other people attending the Dunes Meetup
End of event – safe travels home!!
*Don’t forget to fill up your tires before hitting the road. There are fill-up stations at the Visitors Center if you don’t have an HPA Systems tank.
Hotel:
We have secured a special group rate at the AmericInn by Wyndham in Oscoda for the night of Aug 23rd. We encourage participants to arrive Friday night to allow an early departure Saturday morning. For reservations, please call the hotel at (989) 739-1986 and let them know you are with Midwest Offroad Expeditions. You cannot use the group rate through their website.
Please make sure your hotel reservation is completed by Aug 10th or we will lose the room hold.
