Rules:
- 100% Sober Driving. No alcohol consumption or drug use. Remember these are state/public roads and trails so state laws apply.
- No littering
- Please don’t tailgate
- Headlights must be on for the entire run. Off-road lighting is optional for trails but illegal on the roads.
Requirements:
- You must sign the safety waiver before the event starts. This should be done in the Checkout process while registering for the event. No exceptions.
- You must have a properly functioning 4×4 vehicle (2wd vehicles will likely have issues in snow, sand, and mud). Maintenance up to date, no major issues.
- ORV License and Trail Permit – you need both of these for all M.O.E. events. They can be purchased from many locations such as state park visitor centers and gas stations near ORV routes, or ordered online via the DNR website.

- VHF Radio (handheld 2-3W radio acceptable, mobile mounted 40+ Watt radio preferred)
- Rear facing amber lights (the higher they are mounted on your vehicle, the better)
- Dress appropriately for the weather. Waterproof boots and a heavy coat are a necessity in the winter months.

- LeadNav or another navigation app is great to have on your phone/tablet. You can input provided .gpx files and have the route information shown on your map.
